Mastectomy

Mastectomy is currently one of the standard basic types of treatment for breast cancer and includes partial mastectomy. Lumpectomy and radiation are considered local treatments as they treat the breast only. Chemotherapy and hormonal manipulation are systemic treatments that apply to the entire body.
